A mis vanitas: intentos para dialogar con fantasmas

Hablar con el pasado es conversar con la huella, esa impronta que los tiempos dejan al pasar; aquel paso que modela los recintos de la memoria y que constantemente redefine los bordes de las cosas; esas cosas que dejan de ser extrañas, y en cuyo halo emergen nuevos significados para la visión.

Como en una fantasmagoría, la mente se proyecta caprichosamente en versiones sucedáneas de los personajes y los hechos que ya no nos habitan, animando al cuerpo en nuevos gestos de dicha o remordimiento.

Mientras tanto, el tiempo del pasado empieza a perder su linealidad, sumergiéndonos en vórtices cada vez más rápidos y estrechos, perdiendo la noción del recorrido para entrar en el laberinto. Un espacio denso, brumoso y repetitivo, donde estamos solos con las sombras de las cosas, por lo que cada intento de trazar caminos hacia la salida depende de los objetos que con precaución hayamos guardado en los bolsillos.

To my vanitas: attempts to dialogue with ghosts

To talk with the past is to speak with the trace, that print that the times let go; the step that shapes the enclosures of memory and that is redefining the boundaries of things all the time, those things that stops to be weird, and in wich hallo emerge new meaning for the human vision.

Like in a fantasmagoria, the mind projects itself whimsically in surrogate versions of the characters and facts that no longer inhabit us, animating the body in new gestures of joy or remorse.

Meanwhile, the time of the past starts to lose its lineal order, sinking us into speeder and narrower vortex every time, losing the notion of the path to enter into the labyrinth. A dense, foggy and repeated space, where we are alone with the shadows of things, the reason why each attempt of tracing ways towards the exit depends on the objects that we saved in our pockets safely. …
